Da Emilia is not somewhere we go for polished service or innovative cooking. We go because sitting beside the water in Marina Grande, surrounded by the noise and energy of the old fishing village, feels quintessentially Sorrento. The cooking is straightforward, portions are generous and the whole experience is wonderfully informal. Recent online reviews are more divided on consistency and value than its legendary reputation might suggest, so we would keep the recommendation focused on atmosphere and traditional simplicity, rather than presenting it as Sorrento's best gastronomic meal.
