One of Sorrento's best-kept secrets: an incredibly small, informal restaurant with just a handful of tables and a gorgeous view over Marina Grande.
La Finestrella doesn't immediately look like somewhere you would go for a special dinner—and that is part of what makes it so charming. It is tiny, relaxed and almost feels like dining on somebody's private terrace, but the food is far more accomplished than the simplicity of the setting suggests. We particularly like it for couples who want a sea view without the atmosphere of a large tourist restaurant.
Via Marina Grande 7, close to the historic gateway leading down towards Marina Grande. From central Sorrento you can walk through the old town and descend towards the fishing village. Remember that the walk back is uphill.
